Harvest date 12-24 Sep; yield 51.2 hl/ha; vineyard area 54.91 ha Mid/deep ruby – looks quite evolved. Lots of gentle evolution at the rim. Very light nose. Certainly not forced! Light and gentle with well-managed tannins and marked acidity. Not a charmer but it could serve well at the table as the sort of red wine that goes well with fish. Not aggressively chewy and with a neat finish. (JR)

The 1994 is reminiscent of the 1985, with more structure and tannic ferocity. The wine reveals a deep purple color, and a tight but emerging nose of black fruits, lead pencil, and well-integrated oak. Substantial on the palate, with moderate tannin, this medium-bodied, classically built Bordeaux should be at its peak between 2000-2010.
A soft, fruity, straightforward, pleasant wine for uncritical drinking over the next 3-5 years
