Quite rich and almost fat! Some sort of liquid soap aromas – not classic – but rewarding. A little low in acid to be classic but already a great pleasure to drink. (JR)

Musky, minerally nose dominated by smoky silex. Dense but quite supple for young Clos, with a solid core of lime and minerals. The freshest and most sharplydelineated of Droin's 2003s, even if it also shows the power of this superhot year. Finishes broad, very dry and very long. Very strong for the vintage.
(50% oak, malo finished) Pure, musky aromas of stone and citrus fruits, white flowers and minerals, plus a touch of vanillin oak. Then sweet and juicy, with superb depth of citrus, mineral and floral flavors. Extremely suave wine in the making, offering a lovely combination of silkiness and penetration. The brisk, palate-staining finish of spicy oak and minerals starts the salivary glands working.
