2009 Maestro Raro

Arguably the hidden gem in the Felsina range, the 2009 Maestro Raro (Cabernet Sauvignon) is once again terrific. There is perhaps a little less pure varietal character than in some years, but in exchange, the 2009 has lovely warmth, resonance and expressiveness. Plum, sage, licorice and cloves all add complexity to the finish in a Cabernet Sauvignon that speaks eloquently, but with a Tuscan accent.
