Note di degustazione
The 2010 Monthélie showed hardly any maturity in color. Fresh as a daisy on the nose, it offers a heady mixture of black and blue fruit, pressed violets and shucked oyster shell, echoing a very fine Marsannay from Roty in some ways. The palate is built around quite plush but fine tannins, ebullient blueberry and cassis fruit and a touch of bitterness on the finish lending the edge to keep you coming back for another sip.

Charming! (No Monthelie 2012.) Structure and sinew and lots of reverberation. Very slightly gamey but lots of pure fruit. (JR)
A whole three casks of this are made. Relatively evolved nose with lots of crunchy fruit on the palate. Vibrant and flattering (not a word used often of a Coche-Dury wine). Taffeta texture. Firm finish. Flirtatious. (JR)

Domaine Jean-François Coche-Dury is one of the most sought-after names in Burgundy, famed for producing some of the most expensive white wines in the world. The demand for these fiercely collected wines far outstrips supply.
