Note di degustazione
Late ripening because slap bang on the limestone plateau, this is ruby raspberry in colour at this point, gentle and charming. Well evolved, tertiary notes dominate but it is utterly charming, with saffon, salty crackers, crushed stone minerality, sage and mandarin peel. Heading to tertiary, ready to drink, but energy and joy. Moreish. 50% new oak.

The 2005 La Serre is oxidized and fully mature. That's a shame, as there is still good depth there. The wine just didn’t age well.
The 2005 La Serre is a delicious, soft, round, fruit-driven wine from proprietor Luc d’Arfeuille. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
Very deep ruby. Narrow dark rim. Ripe but fresh spicy dark fruit. Lovely fresh healthy fruit, moderate concentration and quite a bit of spice on the finish. Fine fresh tannins. (JH)
