1994 La Serre

An impressively-colored wine, the 1994 La Serre reveals cherry fruit intermingled with loamy, earthy scents (the smell of terroir?). This medium-bodied wine does not possess the hard tannin of the vintage. Offering a new oak component, medium to full body, and admirable ripeness, it should merit a score in the mid to upper eighties if it is not overly processed at bottling. Drink it between 1998-2010.
