Note di degustazione
The 1975 Sassicaia is distinguished by the intensity and purity of its color, and overall appearance in the glass. Considering the age of the wine, it is quite remarkable. On the nose, the wine shows evolved tones of dried fruit, candied apricot, licorice, tar, campfire smoke and sweet plum cake. Those aromas have completely transitioned into the tertiary domain. The wine probably has a few good years left, but it is coming to the far end of its already generously extended drinking window.

Heady, quite amazing colour. And just lovely silky, racy complex palate with all the tannins melded. Lovely fresh stuff. So racy, Just perfect now! This has lasted magnificently – much better than most red bordeaux. (JR)
Great colour. Lively, healthy red with great shading at the rim. Sweet and coconutty again. Very, very sweet, and slightly furry tannins. Not fresh. Not appetising but very, very impressive for a 1975. (JR)
