The estate's top bottling, the 2003 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Asinone is weighty in its expression of super-ripe, jammy, dark fruit and scorched earth. Warm and ample on the palate, it displays outstanding overall balance as well as a seductive personality. Today it is still a bit tight and will require several hours of air or, even better, another year or two in the cellar.
