Made 2002 and 2004 only too. He buys the grapes every year but he resold 2005-2007 inclusive. Keeps it only when he thinks it’s above the Chevalier. Racked three weeks before this tasting. This will be bottled in summer 2010 . Very firm and solid and masculine and substantial. Really a true Montrachet. Wonderful texture but much more concentrated than the Chevalier. Really, really exciting. Wonderful complexity. Proper Montrachet. Very long. Managed to soar above the delicious cooking smells of sautéed spring onions(?) Super complete. (JR)
