Note di degustazione
Following some mediocre performances from cask, the 1994 has turned out to be better in bottle. A dark ruby color is followed by a spicy, moderately tannic, well-concentrated, elegant wine reveals some tannin, but much more fruit than in the past. It should be drunk between 2000-2008.

A harmonious wine with plum, berry and raspberry aromas and flavors, and fine tannins. Drinkable now, better in 1998. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1997.

The Cazes family – owners of Lynch-Bages and Ormes de Pez – purchased Haut-Batailley in 2017. They’ve embarked on a significant replanting programme, and exciting things are likely to come from this address with its new backing.
