Punteggio 93/100 · Da bere 2017-2032, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015

It was the first time that I have tasted the 2011 Meursault les Chevalieres 1er Cru from Jean-François Coche-Dury. The nose is quintessential Coche - reduced with a touch of burnt matchstick, brilliant definition and enthralling intensity. Returning after 30 minutes in my glass, there are attractive scents of chalk dust and wet pavement. The palate shows sublime balance and poise, the acidity perfectly pitched with enticing notes of dried pineapple and almond littered over the finish. What a glorious Meursault. Drink now, or enjoy over 10-15 years.

The 2011 Meursault Les Chevaliers is all about nuance, clarity and delineation. Stylistically, the Chevalières is like the Vireuils in its precision, but with a little more silkiness and depth. Bright citrus and floral notes linger on the close.

Punteggio 17/20 · Da bere 2016-2025, Jancis Robinson MW, Nov 2012

Round and broad – positively glistened with fruit like a fruit confit. Then, fine and tight with fine minerals on the finish and some green notes. Quite explosive. (JR)
