Punteggio 98/100 · Da bere 2021-2035, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Sep 2021

One of the wines of the vintage, the magical 2001 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières is even better than Coche's superb Corton-Charlemagne! Wafting from the glass with notes of crisp orchard fruit, citrus oil, freshly baked bread, white flowers and subtle hints of iodine and oyster shell, it's full-bodied, seamless and complete, with a satiny attack that segues into a deep, concentrated core, framed by imposing levels of chalky dry extract and underpinned by a tangy spine of acidity. At age 20, it is in its prime today.

Punteggio 18/20 · Da bere 2010-2016, Jancis Robinson MW, Dec 2011

Fresher and much tighter than the 2004. Fully open and bright. Long and rich on palate. Quite explosive. Crystalline. Maybe a little lighter than the 2004. The second bottle is much more open. Much richer than the first but less precise. The two bottles of this and the 2004 really demonstrated how much different bottles of the same fine wine can vary. And I don’t think this is by any means special to Coche-Dury. (JR)

The 2001 Meursault-Perrières was sweet, floral and generous, though it was clearly on the young side.
