Punteggio 89/100 · Da bere 2015-2026, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2014

Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières from Michel Bouzereau has a potent, powerful bouquet with lemon balm, apricot and white peach scents that rather obstruct the typical Perrières minerality that you look for. The palate is quite rounded with slightly lower acidity than 3. Good weight and concentration in the mouth with touches of dried apricot, peach and a hint of marmalade that gather steam toward the spicy, assertive finish that does not really speak of Perrières.

Big and bold – could do with perhaps just a tad more discipline. Sweet start and then herbs. Less focused than Tessons. (JR)

This is also intensely floral with additional notes of mineral reduction, citrus peel and green apple. There is strikingly good detail on the highly energetic, saline and stony middle weight flavors that display even better overall complexity on the beautifully well-balanced and persistent finish. This is a Perrières of finesse yet there is fine flavor authority as well. Good stuff here that should reward up to a decade of cellaring. Tasted: Jun 11, 2013. Drink: 2018+
