Fred loves this vintage – his all-time favourite (though ’14 will be great too’) because of great terroir expressions. Warmish winter, cold wet flowering led to coulure and millerandage, so concentrated fruit. A great vintage for long ageing. Savoury note again. Concentration but of these three the 2018 seems the most obviously Perrières. (JR)

Pale, bright yellow. Aromas and flavors of fresh peach and apricot, lemon-lime and crushed rock. Rich, dense, creamy and seamless, but with firm acidity and strong stony minerality leavening the wine's sweetness. Very complex and intense Perrieres with superb energy and length. Made from a blend of three parcels.
Their vines quite close to Puligny. Very rich nose, far, far more open than the Genevrières. Grand cru characteristics. Molten green fruits and honey. Lovely wine completely dictated by the vineyard rather than the winemaker. (JR)
(a blend of three plots): Aromas of lemon, peppermint, minerals and toasty oak, complicated by a hint of exotic fruits. Complex but very reticent on the palate, with terrific vivacity and a fine grain to its flavors of crystallized lemon peel and minerals. Very closed today but already quite penetrating.
