Mid depth of crimson. Slightly harsh nose but easy and fresh. Some energy here but not much finesse. Pretty rustic tannins on the finish. (JR)

Meaty but also rather too herbaceous. Tannins are dry and not fully ripe so finish is very dry. (JH)
Quite complex and interesting. Real vivacity. No prisoners – not a suggestion of sweetness – but top quality stuff. Lots of life. Bumptious. No-one could call 2004 a failure on the basis of this (and many others)! (JR)
Proprietor Philippe Casteja continues to upgrade the quality of this long forgotten Pauillac. The user friendly 2004 offers sweet tannin along with copious quantities of herb and cedar-tinged black currant and cherry fruit. This medium-bodied, soft wine is ideal for drinking over the next decade.
