Note di degustazione
Good ruby-red. Currant, mocha, espresso and herbs on the nose, complemented by nutty, sexy oak. Silky on entry, then moderately sweet in the middle, but showing more licorice, coffee, herbs and oaky torrefaction than fruit today. Nicely pliant but a bit edgy, with a hint of greenness throughout.

A Jean-Luc Thunevin wine. Very dark. Opulent and very slightly tarry on the nose. Thick and sweet. The body builder version of 3 de Valandraud. Not as much to my taste – very jagged tannins and acid.
Informazioni sul produttore

One of the first garage wines, Ch. Valandraud was created by Jean-Luc Thunevin – Saint-Emilion’s “bad boy”. Today the style of the wine is much more restrained, and officially classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé B estate.
