Note di degustazione
The 2000 Aloxe-Corton Village has a light, rather earthy bouquet with just a splash of soy. The palate is medium-bodied with rustic, slightly hard tannin. There is substance here, but it feels rather austere and drops away dramatically on the finish. Drink soon. Tasted at Sarah Marsh’s 2000 and 2001 horizontal tasting.

The 2000 Aloxe-Corton from Domaine Tollot-Beaut is a creditable achievement in a challenging vintage. Notes of red fruit and loamy soil precede a medium-bodied wine with a sweet core of fruit and a chewy chassis of typical Aloxe tannins that will continue to drink well for another handful of years.
Healthy ruby. Light and gamey on the nose. Then a little drying on the end. Robust and still healthy. But definitely needs food. (JR)
