The 2011 Dolcetto d'Alba is all freshly cut flowers, Maine blueberries, cloves and mint. This is a decidedly mid-weight, feminine Dolcetto with gorgeous balance and tons of personality.

Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014. There have been times when the entry-level wines have been something of an Achilles heel at Pira, but those days thankfully seem to belong to the past.
