Note di degustazione
The 2002 d’Armailhac has quite an exuberant bouquet, maybe just a little bretty with just a hint of saddle leather permeating the black fruit. Quite youthful. The palate is medium-bodied with a hickory tinged opening, fine depth, fleshy with a liquorice infused finish. Not profound, a little loose, but kinda fun. Tasted at the château.

Dark crimson. Some developed fruit but lots of acidity and even a little austerity. Something to drink with fish? (JR)
Really rich and dense and solid. Racy, with great balance and punch. Dry finish. (JR)
Informazioni sul produttore

Ch. d’Armailhac is a Pauillac Fifth Growth owned by the Rothschilds, who also own Ch. Mouton Rothschild. Lavished with the same attention to detail and having benefitted from extensive investment in recent years, this estate can offer brilliant value in comparison to its First Growth sibling.
