1999 Beaune Greves

Red-ruby. Cool aromas of raspberry, minerals and oak. Juicy, bright and dense, with sappy flavors of crushed red berries. Also rather energetically extracted, but this meaty, broad-shouldered wine has the inherent material to support it. Very ripe suggestion of strawberry preserves. Clearly silkier, sweeter and deeper than the Clos de la Feguine. Spicy finish features broad, ripe tannins and very good length.
