My instincts would suggest consuming the 1994 Romanee-St.-Vivant while its fruit still plays a dominant role. Its ruby color is showing signs of amber along the edge of the glass, and its lovely aromatics vaunt roses, violets, fresh herbs, and sweet spices. Primary fruit flavors, especially raspberries and cherries, are found in its enveloping, satin-textured character. Well-focused and possessing outstanding depth of fruit, this wine also offers a hard, dry finish. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
