There is moderate oak showing on the earthy and attractively floral nose of various ripe red berry fruit aromas. There is good concentration to the openly lush and fleshy medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent depth and length. The oak does reappear on the finish and it's a bit more than I personally prefer though in time it should more completely integrate. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2023+

Situato a Gevrey-Chambertin, il Domaine Tortochot forse non ha il prestigio dei più rinomati domaine del villaggio, ma offre un eccellente rapporto qualità-prezzo, producendo vini che esprimono con chiarezza il terroir nei suoi migliori Premiers e Grands Crus, oltre a splendidi vini del villaggio.
