This is notably more elegant and aromatically finer with its pure essence of pear, dried flowers and citrus peel influences. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the very finely detailed flavors that exude a discreet minerality onto the dry, clean and almost delicate finish. This lovely and understated effort is not at all dramatic but it charms and seduces with its impeccable sense of harmony and balance. I really like this. Tasted: Jun 15, 2014. Drink: 2019+
The 2011 Meursault 1er Cru Clos les Bouchere is a monopole on shallow, chalky soils at a steeper incline than Porusot below. It has a heavenly nose of oyster shell and apricot blossom with astonishing delineation and precision. The palate offers great volume with racy acidity, just a slight viscosity and real volume and breadth toward the powerful finish. This is just outstanding. Drink 2014-2030.
