(bottled in April of this year): Superripe aromas of musky dark berries and coffee. Silky and mouthfilling on entry, then juicy and tighter in the mid-palate, offering spicy raspberry and chocolate flavors with a repeating musky quality. A bit less firmly built than the 2012 dolcetto.

The 2011 Barbera d'Alba Superiore is an attractive, juicy red to drink over the next few years. Dark red and black fruit and sweet spices flow through to the generous, supple finish.
