Note di degustazione
The 2011 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Thorey 1er Cru has a perfumed bouquet with crushed violet scents, powdered stone, almost terracotta-like notes penetrating the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannin. This feels nicely poised, not long, but precise with a classic, sous-bois driven finish. There is something a little conservative, safe about this Aux Thorey, but the freshness pulls it through. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.

(two-thirds vendange entier; tasted from barrel): Good medium red. Medicinal dark fruits, mint and pepper on the tight nose. Then surprisingly sweet in the mouth, but with only moderate depth to its flavors of black cherry, spices and menthol. Shows a hint of tannic dryness on the back end.
