The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Roncières 1er Cru, completely de-stemmed like the Domaine's other reds, has quite a plush nose, a little blurred compared to some of its peers. The palate is sweet on the entry but I appreciate the chalky tannins that lend this tension. A hefty dose of black pepper invigorates the finish. Give it a few months in bottle and I suspect that the aromatics will gain more delineation.
