Note di degustazione
The 2022 Quarter Moon is a wine with real presence. This single-vineyard Pinot opens with notes of ripe strawberries, a touch of stewed plum, wild fennel, dried flowers, and spices. The wine flirts with generosity in texture and weight, but the high natural acidity keeps the palate lifted. Aged in 50% new French oak, it reveals a savoury core beneath the fruit, umami-rich and herbal tones, with fine tannins and a long, perfumed, and delicious finish.

Harvested September 6 through September 10, the 2022 Pinot Noir Quarter Moon Vineyard was fermented with 20% whole clusters and matured in 50% new French oak. It has intoxicating, detailed aromas that segue from rhubarb and blueberries to Earl Grey tea leaves, aniseed, lavender and bitters. The medium-bodied palate features highly concentrated, layered flavors and tremendous spice and floral accents. It’s structured by powdery tannins and vibrant acidity and has a long, layered finish. 1,842 cases produced.
