Note di degustazione
The 2022 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is the king of the cellar, wafting from the glass with aromas of dark berries and plums mingled with orange zest, spices, toasty new oak and peony. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and unctuous, with an ample core of fruit, rich structuring tannins and a pure, spicy finish, it shows promise.

The 2022 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru comes from 0.33 hectares of vine planted in 1972 and 1978. Despite rigorous aeration, it has a slightly reticent nose: black rather than red fruit here and a touch of dried white flowers coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and fleshy texture, but it needs more grip, weight, and grandeur_ befitting one of the greatest vineyards in the world. It's enjoyable but not profound.
Informazioni sul produttore

Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, this domaine has a long history and impressive vineyards (with over five hectares of Grand Cru), but has long been considered an under-performer. Today, however, the Bouygues brothers (of Montrose and Clos Rougeard) have taken ownership and change is afoot.
