The 2025 Tessendey has a generous nose: mulberry and fig, yet well defined, and the fruit is clean without volatility. The palate is altogether different, with chalky tannins, a little hard around the edges, though it should soften during its barrel maturation. It will require two or three years in bottle.

A serious, concentrated Fronsac, the 2025 Château Tessendey is based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and reveals juicy black cherries, tobacco, graphite, and mineral nuances on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins, good balance, and a great finish.
The 2025 Tessendey very pretty wine. Dark cherry, grilled herbs, chocolate, new leather and licorice open first, followed by a burst of Cabernet Franc top notes that lend energy. Dark red/purplish fruit, rose petal, mint and blood orange linger on the close.
The 2025 Tessendey offers a fresh, gourmand bouquet of cassis, raspberry and menthol, becoming more floral with aeration. Medium- to full-bodied, suave and enveloping, it’s built around a juicy core of fruit with notable tension through the mid-palate, bringing freshness and length. Ethereal and distinctly cassis-driven, the finish is somewhat gourmand and elegant at this stage. It's a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
