The 2025 Monbrison has a bright, sorbet-fresh bouquet with hints of orange blossom that filter through the blackberry and cassis fruit. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, saturated tannins, a keen line of acidity, a dash of white pepper and clove towards the convincing finish. This is another Margaux that has upped its game in 2025.

A Cabernet-dominant blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot that's being raised in 40% new barriques with the balance in once-used barrels, the 2025 Château Monbrison is a beautiful Margaux offering ample red, blue, and black fruits, spicy wood, and floral aromatics. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's nicely balanced, has ripe tannins, and integrated acidity. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.5, it's a terrific 2025 that does everything right.
The 2025 Monbrison is very nicely done. Soft, supple and forward, the 2025 offers tons of near- and medium-term appeal. Hints of cedar, tobacco, crushed flowers and pomegranate caress the palate before floral top notes reappear to carry the mid-palate and finish. The 2025 is all charm.
