The 2025 Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac is better than the '24 tasted last year, with more freshness and composure on the nose, dark red fruit, allspice and clove. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, still lacking some complexity, although finally there is no under-ripeness and more structure on the finish.

A terrific, elegant wine in the vintage, the 2025 Château Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac reveals red, black, and blue fruits intermixed with graphite, sappy flowers, and hints of chocolate. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish.
A juicy and savory wine with berry, terra cotta and chocolate aromas. Itâs medium-bodied with velvety tannins and a delicious finish. Really attractive. Only 13.5% alcohol. 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc.
The 2025 Grand Barrail Lamarzelle Figeac is a powerful, brooding wine. Dark red-toned fruit, gravel, spice, dried flowers and licorice all meld together. Coarse tannins have always been an issue here, but that seems to be improving of late. The sheer density of the 2025 belies very high yields of 47 hectoliters per hectare.
