Note di degustazione
The 2025 Citran does not really do much on the nose... a bit static and missing the vigour found elsewhere. The palate is so much better, with grainy but fine tannins, attractive blackberry and graphite notes and a harmonious, fresh finish. My score is based on the aromatics opening up by the time this is in bottle.

Ripe currants, smoky oak, graphite, and tobacco notes all define the 2025 Château Citran, a blend of 47% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and nicely concentrated, with ripe tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's one hell of an impressive Haut-Médoc that I'd be happy to own a case of.
A fine and fresh red with blackberries, graphite and a hint of orange peel. Itâs medium-bodied and refined with a fine texture tannins and a crisp finish.
The 2025 Citran is a hearty, burly Haut-Médoc. A blast of dark-fleshed fruit, tobacco, incense, licorice, mocha, dried herbs and scorched earth adds to an impression of virile intensity. A work in progress.
