Note di degustazione
The 1999 Chambolle-Musigny from Drouhin exceeded my expectations and, even against more “bijou” growers, it more than delivers the nuance and elegance you would hope for. It has a very succinct bouquet that exudes that abstract notion of “pinote.” The palate is very well-defined with lace-like tannins, clean red cherry and strawberry fruit and a silky finish that just glides across the mouth. What a sublime Chambolle-Musigny! Drink now-2022. Tasted January 2014.

Good bright red-ruby. Deep, tangy aromas of black cherry, raspberry and game. Fairly dense and rather unforthcoming, with good but not outstanding verve for the vintage. Finishes with firm but round and nicely buffered tannins.
