Coming from a great site across from Colgin and the original plantings, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard offers cassis, graphite, crushed stone, and leather, as well as savory floral and assorted meaty notes. Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 20 months in French oak, it's medium to full-bodied and has a pure, layered, textured mouthfeel with ample mid-palate depth and ripe tannins. This riveting Cabernet will drink beautifully over the coming 25+ years. Drink 2025-2050.
