Note di degustazione
Now bottled in a more classic, lighter-weight Bordeaux bottle, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill Vineyard comes from a great site in the northern part of Stags Leap District, just beside Realm. Red and black fruits, crushed stone, cedar pencil, and dried flowers all define the bouquet, and it's heavenly on the palate, with full-bodied richness, a pure, incredibly layered, elegant mouthfeel, polished tannins, and a great finish. With roughly 1,680 cases produced, it's brilliant even today yet will cruise for two decades or more. Drink 2025-2045.

Schrader's fourth vintage off this site, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Wappo Hill shows more aromatic complexity than the 2022 version, with hints of violets and blueberries adding nuance to the black cherries often seen from this vineyard. All Clone 685, it's full-bodied, velvety and even plush in feel, with a long, softly tannic finish.
