Reticent aromas of lime, mint and vanillin oak. Perfumed and pure in the mouth, with rather steely flavors of soft citrus fruits and minerals. Quite subtle and light on its feet. Finishes long, fine and bracing, with notes of orange and tangerine.

A fascinating nose blends pain grillé, exotic and very ripe fruit plus a sexy spiciness and leads to utterly seductive, sappy, mouth coating, intense broad scaled flavors that are a bit more forward and open than those of the Goutte d'Or but like the prior wine, this remains completely classic in style. Terrific.
The 2002 Meursault-Genevrieres (domaine), sporting a nose of spices, white flowers, and nuts, is a light to medium-bodied, lively, pure wine with a compressed finish. It should be consumed over the next 4-5 years.
Floral scented and great weight and creaminess. Just slightly hot and fat, but a crowd-pleaser. Restaurants? A hint of coffee on the finish. (JR)

Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most established wine producers. Founded in 1731 by Michel Bouchard, it is the largest vineyard owner in the Côte d’Or with 130 hectares of vines.
