Punteggio 85/100 · Da bere 1987, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
The first attractive Belair in nearly 20 years, the 1979 has a perfume of ripe blackcurrant fruit, some spicy oak, and violets. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, with a lush, precocious fruitiness and light tannins. This is a deliciously soft, fruity, very elegant wine. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 1/87.
