The 1986 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard is simply magnificent. An expressive, open-knit bouquet melds into layers of a dark red stone fruit in an impeccably layered, voluptuous Pinot. The long, sweet finish is completely irresisitible. Still fresh for a wine of its age, the 1986 will drink well for at least another few years. Delicate and finessed throughout, the 1986 is without question one of the many highlights in this tasting.
