Note di degustazione
The 2024 Clos des Ormes is round, floral and mineral, offering a great expression of the terroir. The nose is fresh, pure and expressive, with aromas of red Pinot fruit and a gentle earthy touch. The palate is medium-bodied, fruity and gourmand, showing good detail and a lightly mineral-inflected texture. The wine flows with balance and harmony, finishing long and refined. A textbook Clos des Ormes, both inviting and precise.

2 ha of Clos des Ormes is owned by the domaine. 30% new oak. Cask sample. Disarmingly pale in colour but there is plenty of structure underneath the surface. Fine tannin, plenty of bright acidity, combined with a slightly bitter edge. Needs a bit of time in bottle but has a long, refined, future ahead. (AWH)
A brighter and lighter Clos des Ormes than usual, this is prettily defined with its big flush of acidity and sophisticated tannins. Marasca cherries, plum preserves and smoked spices caress the palate. These are mostly 80-year-old vines with a patch of 40 year olds to supplement. The lasting finish weaves in crushed stone minerality.
