Based on 100% Cabernet Sauvignon raised all in new barrels, the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Dr. Crane Vineyard offers smoky black fruits, smoked tobacco, darker chocolate, gravelly earth, and crushed stone in a ripe, powerful, massively concentrated package. It builds beautifully with time in the glass and has tons of ripe tannins and a great finish. It tastes like the blood of this terroir (as well as Cabernet Sauvignon) and needs an hour in a decanter if drinking any time soon. It will cruise for 30 years on its density, depth, and structure. Drink 2030-2055.

The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard is a fabulous example of this site. Plush, silky tannins wrap around a core of red/purplish fruit, rose petal and cinnamon. Everything about the 2023 speaks to finesse, and also to the super distinctive personality of this St. Helena site. The 2023 Crane is a very beautiful and complete wine.
Bevan's 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard features copious amounts of black cherries, with delicate floral undertones on the nose. It's full-bodied, plush and bit warm on the palate, with dark, chocolaty flavors on the lingering, velvety finish. It very much hews to the Bevan style and that of this warm, valley-floor site, delivering ample hedonistic charm.
