Note di degustazione
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is the big production wine at Vangone, with 340 cases produced. It's a blend of four blocks and three clones (4, 6 and 412). Strong hints of cedar—perhaps a bit too much for some palates (the wine does spend 30 months in all new wood)—accent black cherries, plums and cassis. There's an enticing touch of sage as well, with perhaps a touch of bay leaf. Complex, it's medium- to full-bodied, exhibiting a fine balance between structure and flesh, then gliding easily into a soft, velvety finish.

Coming from the Vangone Vineyard in Napa Valley, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Vangone Vineyard (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) reveals a deep ruby/plum hue as well as tons of ripe black fruit, graphite, violets, smoke, and dark chocolate. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's nicely concentrated, with a fine spine of acidity, obvious minerality, and a rich, balanced mouthfeel. This standout effort will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink nicely for 10-12 years.
