Note di degustazione
The 2005 Corvina La Poja, from a vineyard near Lake Garda, is a sumptuous, opulent wine endowed with generous super-ripe dark raspberries, licorice and French oak. Dense and full-bodied, this explosive wine reveals terrific length and fine overall balance. La Poja spent 28 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

Allegrini is one of Veneto’s reference-point producers. The estate is best known for their Amarone, which is one of the fresher versions being made today. Notes from a recent vertical of the estate’s Amarones back to 1982 will be available in the near future on www.erobertparker.com. A Leonardo Lo Cascio Selection, Winebow, Montvale, NJ; tel.
