The Castello di Solomeo 2020 Brunello Cucinelli is elegant and bright with soft tannins and nicely integrated fruit spanning dark cherry and blackcurrant. This vintage does not have the edginess of the 2018 or the power of the 2019. Instead, it offers a silky finish with medium-plus volume and a little more softness from a warm and sunny vintage. The 2020 is the most accessible of the four vintages presented in this vertical, and this wine has what I would call the most identifiable Umbrian character.
