2015 Peter Barlow Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2015 Peter Barlow Cabernet Sauvignon was matured for 24 months in 64% new oak. It has more finesse and complexity than the John X Merriman, featuring blackberry, briar and bilberry fruit mixed with mint and cedar. The palate is well balanced with a grippy entry, nicely judged acidity and a lightly spiced, mint- and clove-infused finish. Again, I would have liked more precision to show through on the finish, but it is clearly Rusternberg’s best offering this vintage.
