The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Block comes from a vineyard just off the Silverado Trail, south of Rudd. It has a mature, beautifully complex profile of cedary herbs, red and black fruits, cigar tobacco, tapenade, and hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied, balanced, and elegant on the palate, it's fully mature but offers a complex, layered, seamless style and is drinking beautifully.

The dense dark ruby/purple-colored 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Block offers up a sweet perfume of licorice, cedar, black currants, and loamy soil. The oak is unobtrusive in this medium to full-bodied, rich, fleshy Cabernet. Enjoy it over the next 10-12 years.
