The 2023 Pinot Noir Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard is one of the better Williams-Selyem wines I tasted for this report. Deep, fleshy and resonant in the glass, the 2023 offers a compelling mix of dark-toned fruit, spice and sweet new oak. Floral and savory top notes emerge with a bit of time in the glass. All the elements are nicely balanced.

Matured for 16 months in 68% new French oak, the 2023 Pinot Noir Rochioli Riverblock Vineyard has slowly opening aromas of boysenberry and blueberry, cast iron, moss and fennel. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly styled with mineral-driven flavors, velvety tannins, bright acidity and a long, perfumed finish. It feels youthfully coiled and will benefit from several years in the cellar. 400 cases were made.
