Another opulent wine in this range, Lerner's 2016 Cabernet Tench Vineyard is bursting at the seams with intensity. Blackberry jam, chocolate, sweet spice and floral notes are super-concentrated in this heady, unapologetically flamboyant Oakville Cabernet. The tannins are big, but they are equally matched by the sumptuousness of the fruit.

Getting up with the best of the best, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is the most concentration, powerful, and opulent in the lineup. Huge notes of blueberries, black cherries, crushed rocks, savory herbs, and espresso roast as well as some background tobacco and savory herbs all flow to a massively concentrated 2016 that stays beautifully balanced and seamless. This puppy isn’t for the those looking for lightweight claret, yet it’s a sumptuous, sexy Cabernet that could only come from Napa Valley. It’s a thrill a minute and will keep for 15-20 years.
Blended of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard is deep garnet-purple colored, with blackcurrants and blackberries with touches of tar, aniseed, black olives and camphor. The palate is full-bodied, rich and firm with nice mineral notes in the mouth, finishing long with an herbal lift. 110 cases produced.
