Blended from the estate's young vines, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch boasts stunning florals, hints of crushed stone and pencil shavings and cassis and black cherry fruit. It's medium- to full-bodied, supple and plush, not overly concentrated but easy, fun and delicious. It's probably the only wine I tasted from The Vineyardist that I might not suggest aging for two decades.

What can be thought of as the entry level wine here, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that was harvested in October and spent 18 months in 100% new French oak. Don't let the "entry level" scare you off, as this is terrific and has awesome aromatics, medium to full body, a ripe, layered mouthfeel, plenty of mid-palate depth, and outstanding length. The aromatics are classic Cabernet with its red and black fruits, camphor, spice, and loamy earth notes. Enjoy this any time over the coming 10-15 years.
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch is absolutely delicious. Crushed flowers, super-ripe red-toned fruit, spice, mocha, menthol and cedar are front and enter. There's a bit of edginess in the tannin, but that's a small quibble here. The 2022 is on the lighter side, as all the 2022s are here, but all the elements are very nicely balanced.
