2023 The Estate

A new wine coming from the new estate in Calistoga with five acres under vine from vineyards planted in 2007 and 2014 (clones 4 and 196), the 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate was aged 22 months in new French oak. It offers darker currants, smoked tobacco, graphite, and incense nuances, with some classic Calistoga minerality and savory nuances. It's full-bodied, rich, and mouthfilling, with a gorgeous mid-palate, ripe, velvety tannins, and a blockbuster finish. This ripe, round, sexy, yet still structured effort has so much to love. There are roughly 200 cases produced. Drink 2025-2050.
