2022 Kalamity

The 2022 Kalamity, a blend of 48% Tempranillo, 48% Garnacha and 2% each Viura and Garnacha Blanca, was again my favorite of the range. The wine is from old vines on white limestone soils with sand that make for elegant and fine wines and fine-grained tannins. There's purity, precision and very clean aromas and flavors, focused, balanced and intense. It's perfumed and showy, but it's also a little shy, even if it feels like a contradiction, subtle and nuanced. Bravo! 3,200 bottles and 300 magnums produced. It was bottled in September 2023.
